Rotate MD-11F

Rotate MD-11F product 01

Rotate MD-11 Freighter

The Rotate MD-11F is an aircraft add-on for Laminar Research X-Plane that simulates the original McDonnell Douglas MD-11 Freighter variant. It is a fine piece of artwork and an accurate simulation of the classic aircraft.

This wide body tri-jet was an extension program of the classic passenger aircraft designed in the 80’s as a successor to the DC-10. This Freighter variant in its latest version, after the Performance Improvement Program, can carry up to 200000Lb and fly across the Atlantic or the Pacific.

Features

  • All systems relevant to normal operation have been simulated using a component oriented design that allows for an engineering level of detail. We have also simulated various abnormal procedures, including over 200 custom failures and over 500 warnings.
  • The hyper-realistic 3D model and 4K textures have been built based on original documents and thousands of real world photographs, and the resulting level of detail in cockpit, passenger cabin and exterior is overwhelming. We distribute 10 liveries of popular airlines.
  • The model includes a custom simulation of the CF6-80C2D1F engines and the aerodynamics resulting of the Performance Improvement Program, based on the documents available and the testing of real pilots.
  • Immersive sound built with over 170 audio samples from a real MD-11 cockpit. The simulation is fully compatible with all VR devices supported by X-Plane.
